[Remote] Venture Advisor (Equity position only)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. AI Fund is an early stage venture firm founded by Dr. Andrew Ng in 2017, focused on utilizing AI technology to improve processes and efficiency. The Venture Advisor will help launch and grow companies by providing guidance, recruiting leadership, and ensuring successful project launches from inception to securing funding. Responsibilities • Help build and advise companies • Work with Builders and the Partners to move a company through several stages • Formulate a hypothesis and do early validation • Understand the competitive landscape and perform market analysis • Conduct early customer validation and create a pitch deck • Recruit and act as a hiring manager for the Founder in Residence (FIR) • Act as a coach/mentor to the FIR • Continue building, validating, and iterating on the product concept • Explore potential MVP product designs • Help develop a market-ready prototype using low-code/no-code platforms • Identify approaches for a commercially viable go-to-market strategy • Identify best candidate business models for monetization strategies • Finalize an investor-ready deck for fundraising • Work with the FIR as an active Executive Board Member to secure funding Skills • Experience in building a successful startup from 0 to 1 resulting in a financially successful exit (large or small) multiple times • Prior operating, product or engineering executive experience • Experience raising venture capital financing or have worked as an Angel Investor or for a VC in an investment capacity • Strategic thinking • Highly collaborative work-style, pragmatic, and resourceful problem-solver • Capability and desire to build relationships and network within the venture industry • Demonstrated problem-solving, quantitative and qualitative analysis skills, including deep familiarity with high-tech startup • Approaches work with an unparalleled level of personal ownership, responsibility, integrity, and ethics • MBA, Engineering, or other advanced degrees are a big plus • Sales or business development experience is a plus • Seen companies through the growth phase is a plus • Domain expertise to be better matched to a project is a big plus Company Overview • AI Fund is a VC firm made up of AI pioneers, operators, entrepreneurs, and investors, supported by LPs such as NEA, Sequoia and Greylock.
