Short-Form Scriptwriter (1-Week Paid Trial | Hooks-First, Problem-Led) - Contract to Hire
Job Description
I’m looking for a short-form scriptwriter for a 1-week paid trial focused on hooks-first, problem-led scripts for TikTok / Reels / Shorts.
This is not generic content writing.
This role is about emotional interruption, clarity, and psychology in the first 3 seconds.
Trial Scope (1 Week)
You’ll be given 2 core problems to work from:
Problem 1: Silent exit (creators losing traction without realizing why)
Problem 2: Identity-based tension (how creators see themselves vs. how the market sees them)
From those problems, you will deliver:
6 total short-form scripts
Each script must include:
2–3 distinct hook options (first 3 seconds)
1 main script (20–25 seconds total length)
Workflow & Feedback
Day 1–2:
You submit hooks only for early feedback and direction.
Day 3–5:
You finalize full scripts using approved hook direction.
This structure is intentional — hooks matter more than polish.
What I’m Looking For
Strong instinct for pattern interruption
Ability to write hooks that stop scrolling without clickbait
Comfort with problem-solution framing
Understanding of creator psychology and identity tension
Clear, concise writing (no fluff)
What This Is NOT
Not SEO writing
Not blog or long-form content
Not social media management
Not video editing
Compensation
$200 fixed price
1-week paid trial
One milestone
If this trial is a strong fit, there is potential for ongoing weekly work.
To Apply
Please share:
1–2 short-form scripts or hooks you’ve written
Or a brief explanation of how you approach writing the first 3 seconds of a video
Important Note
Clarity and thinking matter more than volume.
If you don’t enjoy working hook-first, this will not be a fit.
