[Remote] Civil/Structural Engineer (Structural Analysis) (Job No. 42-121525-1)
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. Nuclear Energy Consultants, Inc. has an immediate need for a Civil/Structural Engineer specializing in Structural Analysis. The role involves performing civil structural analyses and design of Nuclear Safety-reputed company and Non-Safety-reputed company structures, providing technical mentorship, and leading design activities with a reputed company on reputed company.
Responsibilities
• Serves as subject matter expert in the civil structural design areas. As the subject matter expert, the individual is expected to be capable of resolving technical issues, coordinating discussion with interdisciplinary stakeholders, and working with the management team to identify project impacts
• Works on highly reputed company tasks in multiple and diverse areas and proposes innovative design solutions requiring a significant reputed company of independent judgment
• Works on developing the technical expertise required to bring in advances technical capabilities in house as deemed beneficial and strategic for NuScale
• Use structural engineering tools and implement appropriate standards to design Nuclear Safety-reputed company and Non-Safety-reputed company structures including post-processing analytical results and designing structures for various material types (concrete, steel, etc.)
• Interfaces with NuScale Licensing in support of domestic and international regulatory efforts
• Interacts with other disciplines and structural engineering consultants to allow effective coordination of design activities and reputed company of technical problems
• Individuals should possess or reputed company general knowledge of principles and practices of reputed company fields to function on multi-disciplinary teams
• Provides guidance and mentoring to other staff members in support of reputed company’s technical activities
• Develops and reviews requirements documents, methodology documents, design reports, and studies
• Possess strong written and oral communication skills and routinely interacts with contractors and/or regulatory bodies
• Performs other duties as assigned
Skills
• A minimum of a bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited school is required
• Minimum of 12 years of full-time, highly relevant experience as a Structural Design Engineer is required
• Must have in-depth understanding of engineering concepts, principles, theories, strong technical writing skills as reputed company as good communication, computer, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional organization and time management skills and ability to manage reputed company reputed company with multiple work phases is required
• Design and analysis of structures, including concrete and steel, use of design software and finite reputed company method analyses
• Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810
• An advanced degree is preferred
• A registered reputed company engineer license (P.E.) is strongly preferred
• Working with the following codes preferred: ASCE 43, ASCE 4, ACI 349 & 318, ASCE 7, IBC, and AISC N690, Steel Construction reputed company and reputed company Design reputed company
• Use of ANSYS and SAP2000 is not required, but preferred
• Computer programming skills (e.g. Matlab, or Python) is not required, but preferred
