2026 CareSource Summer Internship - Teaching Kitchen
CareSource is a leading healthcare organization offering a 12-week paid summer internship program for college students. The intern will support special projects and initiatives within the community teaching kitchen, enhancing operations and inventory systems while gaining real-world experience.
Responsibilities
- Help enhance and elevate the community teaching kitchen
- Support with sourcing and allocating kitchen supplies
- Support Daily Operations of the community teaching kitchen
- Build and support SERV Safe initiatives and implementation
- Understand Chronic Conditions, and Meal Planning
- Elevate the inventory system for community kitchen
- Perform gap analysis for the operational processes to identify enhancement opportunities
- Develop/enhance a standard class attendee intake system
- Taking on a host of other responsibilities that our team is currently unable to fulfill
Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Current Rising Junior or Senior in an accredited degree program or graduated within the last 6 months is required
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Effective listening and critical thinking skills
- Dependable, flexible and ability to maintain confidential information
- Effective problem-solving skills with attention to detail
