Registered Behavioral Health Outpatient Intern

Tampa General Hospital is a healthcare organization that provides a range of services, and they are seeking a Registered Behavioral Health Outpatient Intern. Responsibilities

• Provides culturally competent, ethical, and compassionate behavioral health services to individuals, families, and couples in an outpatient setting
• Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital

Skills

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or Psychology
• Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern OR Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern
• One (1) to two (2) years relevant clinical experience in an outpatient setting, inclusive of 1,000 hours supervised clinical practicum and internship requirement for Master's degree
• Knowledge working with children, adolescents, and adults in an outpatient setting with diverse populations presenting range of behavioral health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and substance use disorders
• Highly motivated, independent, and capable of performing in a complex environment with the ability to prioritize effectively and complete tasks
• Excellent interpersonal skills and competence to establish rapport and build supporting, trusting relationships and maintain healthy boundaries and respect for patient rights and personal preferences
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
