Data Scientist, Mid

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a passionate data scientist excited about unlocking insights from complex datasets. In this role, you will apply your analytical skills to create real-world impact by developing algorithms and systems that help clients make informed decisions based on data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs
• Dig into data-rich environments to find pieces of information puzzles
• Develop algorithms and systems to turn disparate data points into objective answers
• Provide a deep understanding of the data and its implications for clients

Skills

• 1+ years of experience in statistics, operations research, or advanced mathematics
• Experience with R or Python
• Experience using scientific methods to inform qualitative and quantitative analyses
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• HS diploma or GED
• Experience with optimization, modeling and simulation, prediction, estimation, decision analysis, or engineering management
• Experience analyzing large-scale datasets
• Experience with data gathering, cleansing, and parsing
• Experience developing and applying optimization and simulation models
• Ability to work in Windows and Linux OS environments
• Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, or Data Science
