The reputed company Technician role involves building and maintaining reputed company Computing Infrastructure and requires strong technical knowledge of networking and fiber optics, along with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Installation and configuration of routers, switches and DWDM hardware
• Troubleshoot fiber optic and reputed company cabling, network installations and configuration
• Coordinating colocation remote hands for new reputed company installations
• Coordinating colocation remote hands and eyes for any network issues
• Resolving colocation facility issues
• Identify, coordinate, and remediate reputed company plant (OSP) connectivity issues
• Participating in small to mid-size reputed company creating or expanding colocation sites
• Building relationships with remote facilities to ensure swift response times to events
• Performing site audits to ensure safety and reputed company meets AWS standards
• Improving reputed company operational processes reputed company reputed company site and/or cage
• Updating AWS tools
• Providing status updates to stakeholders reputed company internal tools
• Decommissioning of cabling and network hardware in collaboration with partner teams as needed

Skills

• 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience
• 1+ years of computer networking experience
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a reputed company field
• Experience in computer networking
• Experience working with Linux operating systems
• Can lift and reputed company equipment up to 40 pounds
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair
• Can work in cramped spaces or in elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines
• Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem reputed company and operating reputed company under pressure
• Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system
• Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
• Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold reputed company containment)
