Administration Summer Non-Clinical Intern

Parkview Health is a rural community hospital offering a summer administrative internship that provides a comprehensive understanding of hospital operations. The intern will rotate through various departments, participate in meetings, and work on projects related to finance, patient experience, marketing, and community health.

Responsibilities

• Observe nearly all aspects of operations within a rural community hospital
• Rotate through various hospital departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of how each area functions and collaborates to deliver quality care
• Participate in meetings and events
• Be assigned project work in areas such as finance, patient experience, marketing, and community health
• Develop presentations for both internal and external audiences
• Create internal communications
• Analyze patient survey data
• Coordinate events

Skills

• Must be a current undergraduate college student or graduate college student
• GPA of 3.0 or above
• Submission of Cover Letter, Resume, and Letter of Recommendation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working independently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Canva
• Students pursuing degrees in marketing, journalism, or healthcare administration are particularly well-suited for this opportunity
• A specific educational focus or degree may be preferred, depending on the internship hosting department
• A specific license and/or certification may be preferred, depending on the hosting department of the internship

Education Requirements
