Financial Services Representative - Central Islip
Teachers Federal Credit Union is a leading credit union committed to guiding members towards building a strong financial foundation. The Financial Services Representative will build and strengthen member relationships, recommend tailored financial solutions, and educate members on efficient banking methods.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with new and existing members to understand their financial needs and deepen relationships
- Process routine financial transactions for members efficiently and accurately (including deposits and withdrawals, loan payments, cashier’s checks, IRA) in compliance with regulations and guidelines
- Provide recommendations and assist members with a wide array of financial solutions to satisfy their spending, savings, borrowing, and investing needs
- Educate members to bank more efficiently using the web, mobile, and ATM
- Provide financial education and services to members to help them fit banking into their everyday lives
- Proactively contact members to schedule appointments to discuss their personal financial goals
- Perform other duties as needed upon request by immediate supervisor
Skills
- High School degree or GED required
- Minimum one year of general work experience, customer service, call center, sales or branch experience required
- Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, sales, mathematical, problem solving, multitasking and computer skills, and attention to detail required
- Minimum of six months cash handling experience preferred
