Systems Engineer

Booz Allen Hamilton is a leading consulting firm seeking a Systems Engineer to develop and optimize cloud environments. The role involves designing, implementing, and securing cloud infrastructure and applications while making sustainable improvements to increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical applications.

Responsibilities

• Combine your technical skills to develop and optimize cloud environments, provisioning computer networks, storage and virtual networks
• Harness and sharpen your skills to support our client mission to modernize their IT infrastructure
• Assist a team of engineers focusing on building and deploying cloud infrastructure and applications
• Fully design, implement, and secure these systems
• Evolve them with new technologies as appropriate
• Analyze current infrastructure to understand how to make sustainable improvements to increase security, reliability and availability for mission-critical applications and infrastructure through use of modern automation and virtualization tools

Skills

• 1+ years of experience in software development, system engineering, or cybersecurity
• Experience with scripting languages, including Python, Bash, or JavaScript
• Experience with cloud platforms, including Amazon AWS
• Experience with container tools using Docker or Podman
• Experience with Linux operating systems such as Red Hat, Rocky, CentOS, Debian, or Ubuntu
• Experience with building or maintaining workflows in continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) using tools such as Git, GitLab, or Jenkins
• TS/SCI clearance
• HS diploma or GED
• Experience working in the DoD or a military environment
• Experience working within an Agile environment
• Experience with cloud platforms, including Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes and Helm
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, including Ansible or Terraform
• Security+ Certification
