2026 Internship Program - Claims Encounters Analyst
CareSource is a management services company offering a 12-week paid summer internship program for college students. The Claims Encounters Analyst intern will support special projects and initiatives, gaining real-world experience in claims operations and health claims processing.
Responsibilities
- Knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.)
- Database querying, data analysis and trending skills
- Demonstrated understanding of claims operations specifically related encounters
- Advanced knowledge of coding and billing processes, including CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10 and HCPCS coding
- Knowledge of Claims IT processes/systems
- Knowledge of claims analytic processes/systems
- Advanced working knowledge of managed care and health claims processing and reimbursement methodologies
- Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal required
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Time management skills; capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing work

- Current Rising Junior or Senior in an accredited degree program or graduated within the last 6 months is required

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
