Associate Sales Representative
Laerdal Medical is a company focused on providing innovative solutions in the healthcare sector, and they are seeking an Associate Sales Representative to join their team. This role is designed for early-career sales professionals and involves supporting senior Territory Managers, building customer relationships, and transitioning into managing a territory with individual quotas.
Responsibilities
- Execute effective sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets
- Identify and close new business opportunities while supporting strategic initiatives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
- Partner with senior team members to plan account coverage and contact strategies
- Maintain accurate forecasts and manage resources efficiently
- Utilize digital tools for territory management and quota attainment
- Update and manage account and opportunity data in Salesforce
- Ensure timely capture of customer engagements and sales activities
- Develop deep knowledge of Laerdal’s portfolio and consultative selling techniques
- Understand simulation-based education and competency-based solutions to align with customer goals
- Track sales metrics, prepare forecasts, and contribute to territory business planning
- Manage expenses within budget and submit timely reports
- Work closely with internal teams and strategic partners to deliver optimal solutions
- Address customer issues promptly and ensure compliance with company policies
Skills
- Ideal candidate must reside within Connecticut (preferred) or Rhode Island
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences or business (preferred) with 1–2 years of sales experience (medical, healthcare, or B2B preferred), OR Associate's degree with 3 years of sales experience
- Internship or strong customer-facing experience considered
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to negotiate contracts and agreements
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license required
- Willing to travel at least 60% of the time both with a TM II or Sr TM and independently. (Travel will be primarily within defined territory and in some cases require travel outside the territory to support Regional or National Meetings)
- Ability to lift and carry supplies, files, and demo equipment up to 100 lbs. with or without mechanical assistance
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences or business (preferred) with 1–2 years of sales experience (medical, healthcare, or B2B preferred)
