PGIM Global Services-Analyst, Investment Operations (Hybrid/Newark,NJ/Tampa,FL)
PGIM is a global asset management firm committed to improving financial services and making a meaningful impact. The Analyst in Investment Operations will support the Regulatory Reporting team by providing pricing, valuation, accounting, and financial reporting services for investment portfolios.
Responsibilities
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP & STAT reports, such as:
- Monthly subledger to ledger proofs
- Monthly Market value reconciliation
- Quarterly MD&A Supplemental schedules
- Quarterly cashflows for Fixed Maturities, Trading Assets, Equity at Fair Value, and Short-Term Bonds
- Annual GAAP Surveys and footnote disclosures
- Statutory Schedule D, DA and E along with General Interrogatories and Notes to Financials
- Preparing General Ledger entries monthly for GAAP Market Value adjustments
- Preparing monthly reconciliations for Asset and Income accounts
- Researching issues related to accounting entries and the subledger Investment system
- GAAP to STAT balance sheet reconciliation
- Documenting procedures for any new reporting requirements
- Completing various ad-hoc requests that are received from internal clients
- Gathering information for both internal and external audits
- Special projects as needed
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or related field
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Proficiency in the MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
- High level of self-motivation and dedication
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Client focused and results oriented work ethic
- Ability to work independently and work as a member of the team
- Ability to work overtime during peak periods
- Knowledge of Oracle General Ledger
- Prior background / internship experience in investment management or financial services Industry is strongly preferred
