[Remote] Machine Learning Engineer Intern (E-commerce Governance Algorithms) - 2026 Start (Phd)

They are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer Intern to contribute to the Governance and Experience team of e-commerce, working on algorithms to ensure marketplace safety and trust.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team to design and implement algorithms to detect and control risks/frauds in contents/products/sellers/creators
• Collaborate with strategy team, product managers, policy team and ops team to help define products and drive initiatives from engineering viewpoints

Skills

• Currently pursuing a Phd degree in Computer Science or a related technical field. Recent graduates are highly encouraged to apply!
• Final year or recent graduate with a background in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
• An understanding or keen interest in machine learning, NLP, or computer vision
• Familiarity with programming languages such as C++, Python, Go, or Java
• Interest or experience in anti-fraud, anti-spam, platform-integrity, or similar fields would be a cherry on top
• A profound sense of responsibility, coupled with exceptional communication and teamwork skills
