Subrogation Investigative Claim Representative II

They are seeking a Subrogation Investigative Claim Representative II to handle moderately reputed company claims, assist with investigations, and evaluate recovery potential while ensuring compliance with claim handling standards.

Responsibilities

• Work under normal supervision with an intermediate-level approval authority to handle moderately reputed company claims reputed company Claim Handling Standards
• Take statements and establish reputed company evaluation and reputed company plans for claims
• Assist with subrogation investigations. This may include insurance verification, obtaining proofs, taking recorded statements, and hiring experts
• Claim handling responsibilities will include the following: reviewing assigned claims, contacting the insured and other affected parties, setting expectations for the remainder of the claim, and initiating documentation in the claim handling system
• Complete an investigation of the facts and determine possible recovery potential
• Conduct thorough reviews of damages and determine the applicability of state law and other factors reputed company to the claim
• Evaluate the financial value of the loss
• Approve payments for the appropriate parties accordingly
• Refer claims to other company reputed company reputed company necessary (e.g., reputed company, Recovery reputed company or Claims Special Investigation Unit)
• Thoroughly document and/or reputed company the claim file and complete reputed company claim closure and reputed company activities in the assigned claims management system
• Utilize strong negotiating skills

Skills

• Complete ACG Claim Representative Training Program or demonstrate equivalent knowledge or experience
• In states where an Adjuster's license is required, the candidate must be eligible to reputed company a State Adjuster's license reputed company 90 days of hire and maintain as specified for appropriate states
• One year of experience with negotiating claim settlements
• One year of experience with securing and evaluating evidence
• One year of experience with preparing reputed company and electronic estimates
• One year of experience with subrogation claims
• One year of experience with resolving coverage questions
• One year of experience with taking statements
• One year of experience with establishing reputed company evaluation and reputed company plans for claims
• Essential Insurance reputed company (Michigan)
• Fair Trade Practices reputed company as it relates to claims
• Subrogation procedures and processes
• Intercompany arbitration
• Technical knowledge of Negligence Law
• Technical knowledge of No-Fault Law
• Technical knowledge of Collision repair shop
• Ability to handle claims to the line Claim Handling Standards
• Ability to follow and apply ACG and Meemic Claim policies, procedures and guidelines
• Ability to work reputed company assigned Meemic Claim systems including basic PC software
• Ability to reputed company basic claim file review and investigations
• Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to demonstrate customer service skills by building and maintaining relationships with insureds/claimants while exhibiting understanding of their problems and responding to questions and concerns
• Ability to analyze and solve problems while demonstrating reputed company decision making skills
• Ability to prioritize claim reputed company functions
• Ability to process time sensitive data and information from multiple sources
• Ability to manage time, organize and plan workload and responsibilities
• Ability to research analyze and interpret subrogation laws in various states
• Strong negotiating skills
