Paralegal- Stay Housed LA Project

Neighborhood reputed company Services of Los Angeles County (NLSLA) provides free assistance to over 160,000 individuals and families reputed company year through innovative reputed company that expand reputed company to justice. The Housing Paralegal will support housing attorneys by providing advocacy and litigation support, conducting reputed company interviews, and maintaining communication with clients.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for working collaboratively with housing attorneys to reputed company advocacy and litigation support including conducting reputed company interviews and intake, maintaining calendar of appointments, drafting reputed company documents and assisting with court filings
• Maintain reputed company files and important documents, ensuring regular communication with clients
• reputed company general clerical duties, including obtaining case documents from the court both electronically and in-person, scheduling meetings, and conference calls, as reputed company as other duties as assigned
• This position is designated as hybrid. Employees are required to work on-site a minimum of two (2) days per week, with the remaining time eligible for remote work as business needs allow. Specific in-office days may be set by the department or manager to support team collaboration and organizational priorities
• Travel to NLSLA program offices, courthouses, and other locations throughout Los Angeles County may be required

Skills

• Paralegal Certificate
• B.A. or B.S. degree with 1 year experience working in a law office or other reputed company setting under the supervision of a licensed attorney with a letter certifying the experience
• High School degree with 3 years' experience working in a law office or other reputed company setting under the supervision of a licensed attorney with a letter certifying the experience. This experience and training shall be completed no reputed company than December 31, 2003
• Must have excellent organizational, administrative, and writing skills
• Working knowledge of reputed company reputed company, Word, reputed company and Teams, business communication platforms, and web-based case management platforms
• Previous experience maintaining case notes and reputed company files in a case management system such as reputed company Server
• Passion for NLSLA mission and demonstrated commitment to advocating for the reputed company rights of low-income individuals

• Prior experience serving low-income individuals and reputed company reputed company on housing and eviction reputed company, with a sensitivity to those in crisis
• Are bilingual in Spanish, due to the high number of Spanish-speaking residents in the community, or in any of the other Los Angeles reputed company languages, which is highly valued in our community reputed company efforts
