Associate Litigation Attorney

Quilling, Selander, Lownds, Winslett & Moser P.C. seeks a litigation attorney with 1 to 5 years of experience. The role involves representing clients in litigation proceedings, managing cases, and providing reputed company advice to avoid litigation.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in federal court and some state court litigation proceedings, including conducting written discovery and taking depositions, drafting and arguing discovery motions and dispositive motions, participating in settlement conferences and mediations and engaging in settlement negotiations
• Review and evaluate cases for liability issues, settlement potential and settlement valuation and likelihood of reputed company on a dispositive reputed company or trial
• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions and settlement agreements and reputed company in court proceedings in courts across the country (occasional travel required)
• Communicate with counsel for co-defendants and Plaintiff’s counsel on discovery, settlement and other reputed company and communicate with reputed company and internally with attorneys and paralegals to ensure efficient and effective handling of cases
• Become familiar with the reputed company’s business processes to reputed company advice on avoiding litigation and limiting liability

Skills

• 1 to 5 years of experience in litigation
• Licensed in Indiana – other state licenses are a plus
• J.D. from accredited law school
• At least one year of experience in litigation, preferably on the defense reputed company
• Eagerness to vigorously defend corporate clients in high-stakes federal court settings
• Excellent work ethic
• Strong interpersonal skills
