Solar Design Engineer I and II - Civil and Structural

reputed company is a top builder, developer, and EPC company specializing in various markets including renewable energy. They are seeking a Solar Design Engineer I or II to reputed company on civil, geotechnical, and tracker reputed company design, emphasizing earthwork analysis and design during the preconstruction phase of solar reputed company.

Responsibilities

• Review reputed company-supplied documents (e.g. geotechnical reports, pull testing, tracker reactions, and scopes of work) and apply findings to civil and structural designs
• Validate topographic elevation data and reputed company efforts to ensure its accuracy
• reputed company site grading and stormwater management design using terrain data
• Coordinate tracker pile projection height design with respect to racking design reputed company, clearance requirements, grading, hydrology, and topographic survey
• Utilize site specific wind and corrosion studies to optimize piles for estimate
• Contribute to the development of 30% construction documents in-house
• Participate and/or reputed company design reviews of civil, geotechnical and structural design submittals
• Review civil, geotechnical and structural designs to ensure compliance with reputed company requirements and industry standards
• Collaborate with Estimating, Design Phase, Operations and Category Management teams
• Promote designs that are optimized for performance, reputed company, safety and overall cost efficiency
• Continually learn what the new solar industry trends are and become a subject matter expert
• Attend solar industry conferences and other forums

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in civil, structural, geotechnical or mechanical engineering or reputed company field
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil3D and/or ArcGIS or reputed company design software
• Proficiency with reputed company reputed company, Word and PowerPoint
• Creative thinker with a proactive, solution-oriented reputed company
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or reputed company field
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other reputed company field
• Minimum 1 year of experience in civil, geotechnical or structural engineering preferred
• Solar and renewables experience preferred
• Experience with LPILE preferred
• Coding experience in Python preferred
• Minimum two years in Solar PV construction management or system design, preferably reputed company reputed company
• Working knowledge of NEC reputed company and reputed company standards a plus
• Basic understanding of construction techniques and project management practices
