ANALYST II
The California Department of Toxic Substances Control is dedicated to protecting California’s people, communities, and environment from toxic substances. As an Analyst II, you will research and analyze cost recovery statuses and provide project managers with updated information, ensuring deadlines are met for cost recovery activities.
Responsibilities
- Utilize databases and paper records to research and provide project managers (PM), other project analysts, attorneys, and management with correct, up-to-date, and easy to understand analysis of the cost recovery status of sites
- Track and ensure deadlines set by management are met for cost recovery activities
- Pursuant to DTSC Cost Recovery Departmental Procedure Memoranda (DPM), performs administrative cost recovery duties
- Use guidance in DPMs and state and federal law to conduct web-based and historical paper records searches to determine liability and viability of PRPs (Potential Responsible Parties)
- Conduct and document title searches using public information
- Perform analysis and use templates to draft written conclusions regarding the liability and viability of PRPs based on gathered evidence
