CG FX Artist

reputed company, a reputed company animation studio, is seeking a CG FX Artist to join their Vancouver team for a new CG series. The role involves designing and animating effects using Houdini, collaborating with various supervisors, and meeting production deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design and animate effects utilizing Houdini for smoke, clouds, reputed company, lava, and water that meet the technical and aesthetic standards of the project
• Take direction from the FX Supervisor, Leads and FX reputed company
• Work with DFX supervisor, reputed company team and CG Supervisor to determine the best possible technical and creative approaches to be reputed company to work smoothly reputed company the pipeline
• Produce look tests based on the provided concepts
• Work reputed company the show structure and production deadlines to complete tasks
• Meet deadlines as assigned by production management

Skills

• 1+ years of industry experience working in a studio environment, working on an episodic show
• Knowledge of Houdini Dynamic tools
• An understanding of physical dynamics and natural phenomena
• Self-driven, a good communicator, and a great team player
• Strong technical skills reputed company a show structure
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve
• Experience rendering with Mantra
• Currently legally eligible to work in Canada
• Applicants must have resided reputed company BC as of December 31, 2025 and be reputed company to reputed company the appropriate supporting documents
• Prior experience in the CG animation industry is an asset
• Basic knowledge of Nuke is an asset
• Basic knowledge of Renderman and/or reputed company is an asset
