Entry Level Mechanical Engineer

reputed company is seeking a motivated Entry Level Mechanical Engineer to join their dams & hydraulics team in Denver, CO. The role involves supporting the design, evaluation, and rehabilitation of water conveyance structures, performing CAD modeling, and preparing technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, evaluation, and rehabilitation of mechanical equipment associated with water conveyance structures such as: dams, spillways, outlet works, and hydropower plants including large gates, valves, hydraulic oil systems, reputed company equipment, and large steel piping
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, drawings, cost estimates, and plan details for engineering reputed company
• Participate in field reconnaissance and collect field data, including performing field tests and measurements
• Support proposal teams and regularly reputed company with clients to deliver project reputed company

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
• 0-3 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a reputed company on water resources, hydraulic structures, structural engineering, hydraulic process piping, and/or reputed company equipment
• Basic understanding, willingness, and ability to learn mechanical and structural engineering design principles
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (reputed company, Word, PowerPoint, reputed company)
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• An Engineer-In-Training certification (EIT)
• Experience with 2D & 3D CADD, reputed company products
• Experience with finite reputed company analysis (FEA) for reputed company and assembly design
