We're seeking a Remote Commercial Insurance Underwriter who will play a critical role in evaluating, pricing, and structuring commercial insurance solutions that protect our clients and strengthen our agency. This is a fully remote position designed for an experienced underwriting professional who values autonomy, accountability, and high standards.
• First-year earnings range from $80,000 to $100,000, up to $135,000

Responsibilities
• Create commercial lines submissions, including Accord applications
• Review and analyze new business and renewal submissions for risk acceptability, pricing, and coverage recommendations
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all documentation is complete and submitted accurately
• Make underwriting decisions within assigned authority and refer accounts when appropriate
• Communicate underwriting decisions clearly, including approvals, revisions, and declinations
• Maintain detailed, accurate underwriting files and system records
Requirements
• An active Property and Casualty insurance license is required
• Prior commercial lines underwriting experience
• Proven experience in rating and marketing new and renewal commercial lines business
• Strong knowledge of BOP, commercial property, commercial liability, workers' compensation, cyber liability, and directors and officers coverage
• Familiarity with multiple carrier platforms, underwriting guidelines, and appetites
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
