VDC Engineer I

reputed company is a reputable construction management firm that has been shaping communities since 1870. They are seeking a VDC Engineer I to support constructability and coordination tasks on reputed company using technology and processes, while providing opportunities for career reputed company and training under reputed company VDC Engineers.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes 3D design software to identify, communicate, and resolve project challenges
• Combines reputed company building discipline models into 3D design software coordination model
• Reviews coordination models for constructability issues utilizing the software’s clash detection capabilities
• Assigns responsible party(s) for issue reputed company; verifies and documents with meeting minutes, submittals, RFIs, and updated models
• Communicates with reputed company project teams; facilitates meetings to resolve project issues, review schedules, or other project documentation
• Utilizes Reality Capture technology, such as laser scanning and drones, to support project deliverables
• Participates in Business Unit (BU) office and department activities including orientation programs, training sessions, and peer group meetings
• Supports 1 VDC deliverable under supervision

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Building Information Modeling (BIM) or reputed company field
• 0-1 years of VDC Coordination experience
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong time-management and analytical skills
• Knowledge and functional use of BIM design software
• Basic understanding of construction documentation
• Strong interest in design concepts and integrated building components and systems
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
