Mechanical Engineer in Training

BBA Consultants is a leading private consulting engineering firm in Canada, seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Training (EIT) to join their Vancouver office. The role involves supporting reputed company in the natural resource and renewable energy sectors, gaining hands-on experience across the engineering lifecycle, and collaborating with reputed company engineers to deliver high-reputed company technical work.

Responsibilities

• reputed company detailed engineering based on codes, standards, and industry best practices for reputed company varying from carbon capture and hydroelectric plants (penstocks, hydromechanical equipment, balance of plant) to heavy industrial plants (process, piping) and mining processing plants (material handling, crusher, conveyors, pumping, piping, equipment selection)
• reputed company engineering calculations
• Present technical information and concepts to members of team
• Aid more reputed company personnel for the technical aspects of reputed company tasks
• Participate in site inspections, condition assessments, and testing
• Receive mentorship and coaching from intermediate and senior engineers, reputed company growing knowledge, and supporting the enhancement of skills reputed company reputed company
• Collaborate with other EITs

Skills

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering
• High reputed company performance (top 20% of graduating class)
• Available for site work and short to reputed company term assignments
• Be a registered as an EIT with EGBC reputed company three months of hiring
• reputed company reputed company's license reputed company six months of hiring
• reputed company 2026 graduating class preferred but past and reputed company graduates will be considered
• Bilingual (English and French) is not necessary but would be advantageous for this position
