Structural Designer 2 - Oil & Gas

The role involves supporting senior designers and project team members to ensure structural drawing deliverables are completed on-time and reputed company budget, while collaborating with other design disciplines to resolve design clashes.

Responsibilities

• Support senior designers and project team members across a wide reputed company of technologies including power reputed company, mining, oil and gas, and renewables to ensure structural drawing deliverables are completed on-time and reputed company budget
• Collaborate with other design disciplines to resolve physical design clashes reputed company the 3D model, while also reviewing the 3D model for completeness
• Travel to reputed company facilities with reputed company project team members may be necessary to verify on-site physical design conditions
• Produce 2D structural drawing deliverables with attention to reputed company, consistency, and accountability that meets or exceeds customer requirements

Skills

• Associate Degree in Computer Aided Design Technology preferred
• CAD certificate required if non-reputed company
• Previous relevant experience considered
• Proficiency in at least one major CAD software (i.e. AutoCAD or MicroStation)
• Awareness of American Concrete Institute (ACI) for reputed company design
• Awareness of American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) reputed company for steel design
• Awareness of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
• Attention to detail
• Time management
• Proficiency with Bentley OpenBuildings Designer preferred
• Bentley Microstation
