[Remote] Account Development Executive

In this role, you will collaborate with a high-performing team to attract and qualify prospects exploring OpenText solutions, directly contributing to generating sales opportunities and driving pipeline growth.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives to develop a territory strategy for discovering, nurturing, and qualifying a pipeline of leads
- Generate new business opportunities through outbound cold calling, personalized emails, social media engagement, and video communications
- Qualify and develop inbound leads generated by campaigns and digital events, building customer profiles and identifying key pain points OpenText can resolve
- Act as part of a 'win team' to support the progression of sales opportunities, re-engaging leads and nurturing relationships to drive pipeline acceleration and closure
- Build trusted customer relationships by acting as a business advisor and mapping the buying process with targeted contacts
- Leverage Salesforce.com, LinkedIn, DiscoverOrg, and Outreach to identify contacts, track progress, and forecast outcomes
- Qualify leads using the BANT criteria (Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline) to ensure high-quality Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs)
- Receive ongoing coaching and participate in skill-building activities to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth tech environment

- Proven success in achieving or exceeding quarterly sales targets
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to listen, understand, and address prospects' business challenges
- Self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Creativity and resilience when researching leads and cold calling prospects
- Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where change is constant
- Organizational and time-management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Goal-oriented mindset with strong analytical abilities and a track record of ownership and execution
- Familiarity with Salesforce.com, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and DiscoverOrg is a plus
- Bachelor's degree or 1–2 years of proven outbound lead generation experience in a technology environment preferred
