It also runs edits on abstracts and makes the necessary corrections to them. Qualifications: Degrees: • Associates degree is required. Licenses & Certifications: • NCRA Oncology Data Specialist. Additional Qualifications: • Must be a certified Oncology Data Specialist (ODS). • Minimum of five years of cancer registry abstracting experience in a Commission on Cancer (CoC) approved cancer registry. • Knowledge of CR reputed company and Cerner preferred. • Takes ownership of certification, including keeping up with education and the required reputed company set to reputed company as an ODS. • Must be adaptable and flexible in a changing work environment that requires reputed company skills upgrading. • Must have a demonstrated ability to function independently with little supervision.
