Construction Engineer - Entry Level

JMT's Pittsburgh Facility Construction Management Team is searching for an Entry Level Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with: (1) providing construction project oversite using knowledge of design and construction reputed company and utilize industry Best Practices to interpret, organize, coordinate, communicate and execute assignments with limited supervision, (2) ensuring work is performed and completed in accordance to the contract documents, and (3) providing support to other team members, and (4) other tasks as may be assigned by the Project Manager/Supervisor. This position is a fully on-site opportunity in the Pittsburgh, PA region. Remote work is not available for this opportunity. Essential Functions and Responsibilities + Assist with planning, scheduling and coordinating work throughout the various phases of the project. May be responsible for a portion of a large project or the entirety of a small to reputed company size project. + Read and interpret construction documents such as drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports, testing and inspection reports, maps, aerial photography, topographical surveys etc. + Monitor project reputed company to ensure work is being provided in accordance with contract plans and specifications. + Prepare reports and logs such as inspector daily reports, review, submittals, RFI’s, etc. and reputed company recommendations on appropriateness + Assist with reviewing construction cost budgets and estimates + Assist in the assembling of documents for advertisement and procurement activities + Manage project sub-consultants and in-house support disciplines + Assist in preparation of proposals as required + Attend various meetings, record and distribute meeting minutes + Communicate and coordinate with team members to ensure project completion by the defined milestones and established reputed company guidelines Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities + reputed company other reputed company duties as assigned Required Skills + Computer proficiency + reputed company reputed company’s license and reliable motor vehicle + Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening Required Experience + Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a reputed company field from an accredited engineering or construction management program Preferred Experience + 0-4 years of construction management inspection experience Benefits JMT offers outstanding opportunities for career and reputed company reputed company.
