Quality Assurance Analyst

Portfolio Aid Inc. is looking for a skilled Quality Assurance Analyst to support their RegTech and WealthTech software solutions. The role involves designing test plans, developing test programs, and documenting software defects to ensure high-quality product releases.


Responsibilities

  • Designing test plans, scenarios, scripts, and/or procedures
  • Developing test programs that address database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error/defect retests, and/or application usability
  • Testing application modifications
  • Documenting software defects using a defect-tracking system and reporting defects to software developers/project team
  • Identifying, analyzing, and documenting problems with program functions, output, online screens, and/or content
  • Creating and/or maintaining databases of known test defects
  • Planning test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope and/or delivery dates
  • Participating in product design reviews and providing input on 1) functional requirements, 2) product designs, 3) schedules, and/or 4) potential problems
  • Reviewing software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, and completeness
  • Assisting quality assurance analysts and developers at other skill levels, as needed, to ensure timely releases of high quality code
  • Achieving a service-focused culture with emphasis on timely delivery of high-quality products and services to internal and external customers

Skills

  • French language written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum 1 year quality assurance or computer programming experience
  • Minimum 1 year SQL and scripting experience
  • University degree or community college diploma in a related field such as computer science/IT
  • Strong English language written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledgeable on the principles, practices and procedures of quality assurance testing and the ability to apply said knowledge and skills to a range of professional assignments
  • Ability to design, write, test and document efficient testing solutions to meet customer needs
  • Ability to change process execution during product line testing
  • Ability to analyze large data sets, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team–oriented, environment
  • Ability to work well independently
  • Strong computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office
  • Experience in a client-server environment
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodology
  • Experience using Selenium WebDriver or equivalent tool
