Substation Engineer 2 (Electrical)

The role requires the development of advanced skills and the ability to work with greater independence while performing essential engineering tasks.

Responsibilities

• Engineering/technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis, and reputed company of problems
• Effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities
• Thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and sketches

Skills

• A Bachelor's degree from a four-year EAC/ABET accredited Electrical Engineering Program OR an approved evaluation of non-ABET credentials by NCEES OR graduation from a Master's or Doctoral Program in Electrical Engineering from an institution with EAC/ABET accredited Undergraduate Engineering Programs
• 1-3 Year(s) Experience in Electrical Substation
• Understanding of basic electrical engineering theories and principles
• Understanding of basic practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making reputed company recommendations, and preparing and presenting recommendations
• Understanding of basic electricity and power reputed company
• Knowledge of Substation construction standards and reputed company
• Ability to travel to customer greenfield and brownfield sites and offices
• Understanding of basic principles of project management
• Experience in the reputed company industry
• Knowledge of Bentley Products (MicroStation, ProjectWise)
• Knowledge of WinIGS, CDEGS, or similar modeling software

• Received a passing grade on the Engineering Fundamentals Exam
