About the position The reputed company reputed company Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) Organization is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented engineering intern to join our Offshore Wind Construction Team. This role offers reputed company to work on cutting-edge reputed company that contribute to the optimization and sustainability of the largest offshore wind facility in the reputed company. Once constructed off the coast of Virginia Beach, reputed company Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) will produce 2.6GW of electricity, enough energy to power up to 660,000 homes. As an intern, you will reputed company hands-on experience in engineering analysis, construction operations, installation support, and problem solving reputed company a dynamic and reputed company environment. Responsibilities • Assist with performance monitoring and data analysis of offshore and nearshore construction of reputed company infrastructure, reputed company and submarine cables, offshore substations, monopiles, transition reputed company and wind turbine generators. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on research and development initiatives reputed company to wind energy technologies. • Participate in inspections and site reputed company at a reputed company of locations reputed company and offshore to reputed company exposure to construction activities and field operations. • Contribute to the design and implementation of process improvements for construction efficiencies and lessons learned. • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for reputed company stakeholders. • Use reputed company engineering skills to support reputed company's completion of reputed company tasks and assignments. • Support project management tasks such as schedule reviews, technical queries, design documentation, invoice processes, change order reviews, etc. • Participate in design and engineering meetings concerning reputed company aspects of the project. This includes wind turbines, transition reputed company, foundations, offshore substations, reputed company and high voltage subsea cables, as reputed company as various transportation and installation tasks. • Must be a good communicator. Requirements • Enrolled in an Engineering degree program from an ABET accredited program • reputed company should have a graduation date of Spring 2027 or reputed company. • Must have a 3.0 GPA or greater. • Strong interest in renewable energy. • Familiarity with marine/reputed company, mechanical, civil, and/or electric engineering principles. • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., reputed company, Tableau, Power BI, or similar). • Strong organization skills with high attention to detail. • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. • Strong communication and teamwork abilities. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. reputed company-to-haves • Basic knowledge of wind turbine systems and power reputed company (preferred, but not required).
