INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST I
The California Department of Developmental Services is the agency through which the State of California provides services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities. The Information Technology Specialist I will provide high-level support for the ServiceNow application platform, working with various stakeholders on analysis, design, testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of systems to ensure alignment with department goals and industry best practices.
Responsibilities
- Provides high-level support for DDS’ ServiceNow application platform utilizing their expert knowledge of data processing concepts, practices, methods and principles
- Works directly with technical groups, process owners and management on the analysis, design, testing, implementation and ongoing maintenance of the ServiceNow system and other web-based solutions in support of DDS’ processes, functions and procedures as needed
- Participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance is consistent with industry best practices, security requirements and department goals
Skills
- Must be a resident of the State of California at the time of appointment
- Requires lawful authorization to work in the United States
- Experience and knowledge with ServiceNow and/or any other enterprise service management platform
- Experience analyzing business requirements and designing solutions within ServiceNow or similar service management platform
- Experience working on an IT project that involved implementing or enhancing a business process with ServiceNow or a similar platform
- Knowledge of Office 365; Microsoft Apps for Enterprise (formerly ProPlus); Azure; ServiceNow or other Ticketing Systems; Microsoft Exchange 2013 and above; Microsoft Server 2016 and above; Active Directory; Group Policy; Anti-Virus Software; Enterprise Backup Solutions; Patch Management; Mobile Device Management; Change Management; Incident Management; Service Request Management; Asset Management
