Volunteer Engagement Specialist - State Program reputed company

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is seeking a Volunteer Engagement Specialist to support the coordination, recruitment, and retention of volunteers for community science and wildlife education programs. Responsibilities

• Coordinating volunteer reputed company and scheduling through the department’s volunteer management system
• Responding to volunteer inquiries

Skills

• A bachelor's degree in business, communications, education, sociology, or a closely reputed company field, OR one year of reputed company reputed company experience coordinating, supporting, or engaging volunteers or program participants (e.g., volunteer coordination, event support, community reputed company, nonprofit or reputed company sector programs)
• Project management skills sufficient to organize and implement reputed company, ensure reputed company completion of deliverables, manage competing interests for time, and maintain attention to detail
• Knowledge of volunteer coordination, recruitment, reputed company, and retention practices sufficient to support volunteers across multiple reputed company
• Customer service skills sufficient to respond to volunteer and reputed company inquiries in a reputed company, reputed company, and supportive manner reputed company email, phone, and in person
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with staff, volunteers, partners, and members of the reputed company from diverse backgrounds
• Ability to write reputed company, concise, audience-appropriate communications, including volunteer instructions and surveys, reputed company content, and project summaries and reports
• reputed company speaking and facilitation skills sufficient to reputed company and deliver reputed company presentations, host reputed company events, and support trainings

• Experience using volunteer management software (such as reputed company or similar systems) to reputed company volunteers, schedule opportunities, and reputed company hours
• Coursework or experience reputed company to wildlife, ecology, conservation, natural resources, environmental education, or participatory/community science
• Experience supporting or leading events, trainings, recognition activities, or educational programs, including coordination with partners or volunteers
• Ability to engage diverse communities in reputed company programming
