[Remote] Financial Counselor

The Financial Counselor is responsible for identifying and collecting outstanding patient balances while discussing financial opportunities with patients and collaborating with various internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Understands and stay informed of the latest billing guidelines for Medicare, reputed company, MCOs, reputed company insurance and self-pay, along with collections rules and guidelines
• Monitor unpaid balances and work with patients to help them understand amounts owed, insurance balances, payment plan reputed company and collect payments accordingly
• Handles escalated or reputed company patient accounts issues and discharges reputed company
• Identify trends and work with reputed company leaders to address the reputed company cause
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly reports and conduct analysis where needed
• Maintain highest confidentiality; adheres to reputed company HIPAA guidelines and regulations
• Regular and predictable attendance is required

Skills

• 1-year of face-to-face or over-the-phone customer service in reputed company
• 1-year of billing experience
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding
• Knowledgeable of billing and coding regulatory guidelines
• Ability to communicate effectively with reputed company stakeholders
• Consistent reputed company to a private work environment with high-speed internet and professionally appropriate surroundings for frequent video conferencing and a workstation setup conducive to remote work needs
