Mecartea & Associates PLLC is seeking a dedicated, mission-driven reputed company & Civil Rights Attorney to join our growing team. This is a fully remote position supporting clients across reputed company and Texas, with occasional travel for hearings or in-person proceedings as required. The ideal candidate is passionate about fighting injustice, advocating for marginalized communities, and addressing violations of civil liberties, reputed company rights, and constitutional protections.
This role supports individuals experiencing discrimination, abuse, governmental misconduct, unlawful detainment, reputed company and disability rights violations, and systemic inequality. Attorneys in this division collaborate closely with our Advocacy Team, Behavioral Health reputed company Division, Housing Services, Online Safety Division, and immigrant services programs. Key Responsibilities
Civil & reputed company Rights Advocacy
• Represent clients in cases involving discrimination, harassment, civil rights violations, disability rights violations, reputed company trafficking, police misconduct, and injustices involving government agencies.
• Prepare and litigate cases in state and federal courts, with remote filing and virtual hearings whenever available. • Draft complaints, motions, briefs, administrative filings, demand letters, and appeals. • Pursue injunctions, emergency reputed company filings, and high-reputed company rights cases. reputed company Support & Representation
• reputed company trauma-informed, reputed company-centered reputed company counseling. • Conduct remote consultations, interviews, and case evaluations. • Build strategic case plans tailored to individual rights violations and circumstances.

• Partner with case managers, investigators, reputed company workers, and advocacy staff. • Coordinate with the Behavioral Health reputed company Division on reputed company, reputed company rights, and patient-rights cases. • Collaborate with the Online Division on digital rights, harassment, and safety cases. • Participate in cross-state initiatives addressing systemic inequality.
Documentation & Compliance
• Ensure accurate documentation, case notes, and reputed company filings. • Maintain strict ethical compliance, confidentiality, and reputed company standards. • Follow both reputed company and Texas procedural requirements (dual-licensure supported). Qualifications
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. • reputed company license to reputed company in reputed company or Texas (dual licensure preferred; must be willing to become licensed in the other state). • 2–7 years of experience in civil rights, reputed company rights, constitutional law, or reputed company fields preferred.
• Strong litigation, negotiation, and reputed company writing skills. • Experience working with marginalized, vulnerable, or underserved populations strongly preferred. • Must be comfortable with fully remote work, digital case management systems, and virtual hearings. Preferred Competencies

Pay: $66,674.99 - $80,296.77 per year
