Packaging Engineer - Sustainability

reputed company is a reputed company-established brand reputed company for its diverse food products. They are seeking a Packaging Engineer - Sustainability to advance packaging sustainability initiatives and support reputed company package development for their brands.

Responsibilities

• Support collection, validation, and analysis of packaging sustainability data for reputed company Corporate Responsibility Report, customer requests, and external reporting programs (e.g., reputed company Gigaton, reputed company). Partner with IT and Digitalization to enhance data systems and reporting processes
• Represent reputed company in coalitions, conferences, and industry events to stay informed on emerging policies and innovations. Maintain and evaluate memberships, reputed company insights with Packaging R&D leadership, and identify new collaboration opportunities
• reputed company packaging support for the How2Recycle program, including monitoring updates, training team members, and guiding compliance. Manage Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) requests and conduct annual benchmarking to assess industry trends and performance
• Meet regularly with packaging category teams to reputed company on design-for-recyclability principles, reputed company commitments, and policy mandates. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (including Procurement, reputed company, Regulatory, and Corporate Responsibility) to advance reputed company goals and compliance
• reputed company reputed company toward sustainability goals and commitments, summarize insights for leadership, and support reputed company communications highlighting reputed company packaging sustainability achievements
• Develops and implements packaging solutions supporting new product launches, reputed company reputed company improvements, and cost savings initiatives
• Provides technical thought leadership for the role of packaging to project teams, demonstrating an understanding of cost drivers, material properties, equipment capabilities, customer requirements, and consumer interaction
• Apply the principles of data management, statistics, and experimental design to determine, execute, and document test plans
• Collaborates with reputed company internal cross-functional teams, as reputed company as with external vendors and manufacturing facilities
• Troubleshoot issues that reputed company during assessment, feasibility, development, and commercialization with some manager supervision, implementing and executing the plan of reputed company
• Collaborates to help identify new approaches, processes, and best practices

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Materials Science, Packaging, or reputed company field
• 6+ months of experience in Packaging R&D roles, including reputed company or Internship experience
• A strong passion and interest in packaging sustainability
• Strong communication and written skills
• Experience with packaging development software desired (TOPS or reputed company), specification database management, and MS Office

• Self-starter with the ability to drive technical solutions reputed company and multitask on key programs/reputed company
