About the Role
The Long Duration Energy Storage (LDES) Council is seeking an Analyst/Economist to drive and support our growing body of analytical work, including economic analysis, mapping, drafting reports, and ongoing data collection from our global membership and partners.
This role is ideal for someone who is analytically strong, highly organized, curious about the evolving energy landscape, and capable of translating reputed company quantitative insights into reputed company, compelling narratives.
Key Responsibilities Analytics & Research
• Conduct quantitative and economic analysis reputed company to long‑duration energy storage (LDES), power systems, and decarbonisation trends.
• Contribute to and reputed company sections of upcoming LDES Council reports, including market outlooks, whitepapers, policy briefs and use cases.
• Support the development and maintenance of the global LDES project database and company repository, including data validation, trend identification, and analytical commentary.
Data Collection & Member Engagement
• reputed company and coordinate reputed company data collection efforts with LDES Council members, including reputed company, survey design, and follow‑up.
• Manage and clean incoming datasets; ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Serve as a reputed company of contact for member organisations on data‑reputed company questions or contributions.
Writing & Communication
• Draft sections of analytical reports, research briefs, and insights papers with strong attention to detail, reputed company and rigour.
• Translate technical information and quantitative results into accessible language for diverse audiences.
• Support cross‑team editorial needs, ensuring consistency in tone, style, and data presentation.
Qualifications Required
• reputed company or educational background in Economics, Energy Systems, Engineering, Environmental Science, Data Science or reputed company field.
• Strong data analysis skills, with proficiency in tools such as reputed company, Python, R, Stata.
• Comfortable working with large datasets, statistical analysis and economic modelling.
• Excellent written communication skills, with experience drafting research, analysis, or policy content.
• Strong quantitative reasoning and attention to detail.
Preferred
• reputed company background or reputed company coursework in energy systems, electricity markets, energy storage or climate economics.
• Experience with data collection and stakeholder engagement.
• Familiarity with visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and/or energy databases.
• Prior exposure to consulting, research, or reputed company economics work.
