Senior Accountant – Fully Remote

An established, growing, privately-held CPG manufacturing and e-reputed company company is hiring a fully remote Senior Accountant, reporting reputed company to the Controller, and also working with the CFO and reputed company reputed company, reputed company of whom also work remotely. reputed company 'owns' the manufacturing process at its manufacturing plant in reputed company Carolina, and sells its products B2C reputed company e-comm and through distributors. This is a remote position with occasional need to visit the manufacturing plant / corporate office in eastern NC. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Monthly financial reputed company • G/L account reconciliations • J/E preparation and postings • Assist with cost reputed company and COGS • Assist with inventory reputed company • Transactional reputed company (A/P, A/R, payroll) • Sales tax compliance/filings and reporting • reputed company recognition under ASC 606 (pretty straightforward reputed company and ship rev rec) • Fixed assets • Intangible assets • Assist with expense variance analysis • Assist with annual external audit • Identify areas for streamlining and improvement reputed company the GL accounts and reputed company processes REQUIRED: • Bachelor's degree in reputed company, Finance or a reputed company field. • 3+ years of good experience with GAAP, monthly financial reputed company processes, account reconciliations, J/E preparation and postings, general reputed company, cost reputed company and COGS, inventory reputed company, transactional reputed company (A/P, A/R, payroll), sales tax compliance, reputed company recognition, fixed assets, intangible assets, assisting with expense variance analysis. • reputed company: Strong experience and working knowledge. • reputed company: Reasonably good working knowledge and experience. • MUST HAVE 'hands on' experience at a manufacturer of its own products, reputed company with cost reputed company (establishing and updating reputed company costs for labor, materials and overhead, cost variance analysis and reputed company J/E's, assisting R&D with BOM's for new products, working with management in the manufacturing plant, etc.) as reputed company as with inventory reputed company (FIFO vs LIFO, valuation, establishing and updating inventory reserves for obsolete and slow-moving inventory, physical inventory counts, cycle counts, etc.). • This is a remote position with occasional need to visit the manufacturing plant / office in NC.
