HR Consultant - Join a Growing HR Consulting Firm
We're seeking a part-time HR Consultant with at least 6 years of HR experience, including 2 years as a consultant to support our clients. We serve the startup and small business space working directly with business executives, so confidence and accuracy in your craft is essential! This is a client facing position and requires bandwidth to ensure that their service level is high touch.
Ideal candidates will have a HR certification and well rounded HR experience as a Senior Level Generalist with experience in:
Multi-state compliance - CA experience is REQUIRED
Small business payroll and tech - ADP, Bamboo, Gusto, Paychex, etc...
Benefits package and retirement plan selection and administration
Employee communications (flyers, presentations, etc. in Canva)
Onboarding and offboarding packages
General small business HR needs - PIPs, job descriptions, reusable templates, handbook, policy
Experience in startups is preferred. You must be self-motivated, organized, resourceful, and able to communicate effectively. The ability to respond to inquiries within 1 business day is essential.
Key Qualifications:
6+ years HR experience, 2+ years in consulting at a Senior Generalist level or higher
HR certification
Proven ability to handle multi-state HR compliance
Experience with small business HR needs
Strong communication skills
Tech savvy with Google Workspace, MS Office 365 and their apps
We utilize Slack and Monday to communicate and track assignments as well as other tech to enhance our collaboration.
We are looking for someone who likes to have fun at work and thrives working in consulting. This role is client facing and will ramp up hours based on new business that is onboarding. To be considered, we need an availability commitment to work to 10 hours a week.
