Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Director of Risk Management and Business Process Improvement to join our team. As a key member of our risk management department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing business procedures and risk management solutions, utilizing business or consumer department data. Your expertise in analyzing structured and unstructured data, interpreting complex analyses, and collaborating with cross-functional teams will be essential in driving business growth and improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement risk management approaches and business procedures, utilizing statistical, financial, AI, or business intelligence methods
- Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions
- Collaborate with technology and other teams on the integration and implementation of risk management approaches and business procedures
- Identify and evaluate new data sources (controlled and uncontrolled) that could add steady productivity to arenaflex's products/services
- Apply industry and internal best practices, incorporating regulatory feedback on a case-by-case basis to drive continuous improvement in risk management techniques and systems
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Graduate degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Additionally, you should have at least 1 year of experience in each of the following areas:
- Risk management
- Interpreting complex analyses for technical and non-technical audiences
- Working with technical, scientific, business, and non-technical teams
- Cost-benefit analyses and developing and implementing business process improvement strategies
- Project management experience, driving business transformation, and reengineering systems
- Utilizing MS Excel for financial and data reporting and modeling
- Proficiency in Data bricks, Python, R, SAS, SQL, Tableau, Terawatt, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Unix
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are desirable:
- Advanced degree in a related field
- Professional certifications in risk management or a related field
- Experience working in a remote or virtual team environment
- Knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies in risk management and business process improvement
