Azure Data Engineer/Azure ETL Engineer/Cloud Data Engineer (Azure)- Remote-W2

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Lake Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data lake and data engineering solutions on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake, data ingestion, transformation, and integration, supporting analytics, reporting, and enterprise data platforms. This role will partner closely with data architects, analytics teams, and application stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-performance data pipelines and lakehouse solutions. Key Responsibilities • Design and develop data pipelines for Azure Data Lake environments. • Build and maintain ingestion and transformation workflows using Azure-native services. • Implement ETL/ELT processes to load data from multiple sources into Azure Data Lake. • Optimize data storage, partitioning, and performance for large-scale datasets. • Collaborate with data architects to implement lakehouse and modern data platform architectures. • Ensure data quality, validation, and monitoring. • Implement security, access controls, and data governance best practices. • Support downstream analytics, BI, and reporting platforms. • Troubleshoot and optimize data pipeline performance and reliability. Required Skills & Qualifications • Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2). • Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for data orchestration and pipelines. • Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics. • Strong SQL skills for data transformation and validation. • Experience with ETL/ELT design and implementation. • Experience working with structured and unstructured data. • Knowledge of data warehousing and lakehouse architectures. • Experience with Azure security concepts (RBAC, Managed Identities, Key Vault).
