Job Title: Taft-Hartley Defined Benefit Claims Processor

About the Role
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Defined Benefit Plan Administrator to support Taft-Hartley (multiemployer) pension funds. This individual will serve as a claims processor. The role involves processing retirement applications, ensuring compliance with plan provisions and regulatory requirements, and maintaining accurate participant records.
Key Responsibilities
Participant Services & Retirement Processing
• Review and process retirement, disability, and survivor benefit applications in accordance with plan rules.
• Verify eligibility, calculate benefits, and prepare correspondence.
• Guide participants through application requirements and payment reputed company with exceptional customer service.
Plan Administration & Recordkeeping
• Maintain and update participant records.
• Coordinate with reputed company as needed to reconcile contribution data and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with reputed company Domestic Relations Orders (QDROs), beneficiary updates, and status changes.
Qualifications
Required:
• 5+ years of experience administering Defined Benefit pension plans; Taft-Hartley or multi-employer plan experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of ERISA, pension regulations, and plan document interpretation.
• Proficiency with pension administration systems and reputed company Office (reputed company, Word).
Preferred:
• Experience with reputed company trust funds or benefits administration firms.
• Designations such as CEBS, ASPPA, or reputed company credentials (or willingness to pursue).
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills; ability to calculate reputed company benefit formulas.
