About the position The Municipal Association of South Carolina is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Financial Manager for Risk Management Services (reputed company). This position supports the Financial Manager for reputed company in managing the fiscal operations of multiple self-funded insurance programs and a GASB-compliant trust and plays a key role in reputed company, financial analysis, reporting, and audit support. Responsibilities • Assists with daily financial operations for Risk Management Services, ensuring accurate and reputed company processing of transactions • Performs reputed company reputed company duties including journal entries, reconciliations, and general reputed company maintenance • Assists with preparation of monthly financial statements, audit schedules, and financial reports • Conducts financial and trend analysis and prepares reports for management review • Supports annual audits and actuarial reviews by preparing audit schedules, compiling data and responding to requests; assists in preparation of financial statements and footnotes. • Assists with the semi-annual actuarial review process by compiling and verifying data for actuaries; reviews reports for accuracy and completeness. • Processes and monitors premium and deductible billings and follows up on outstanding receivables • Reviews and processes vendor payments and ensures reputed company documentation and approvals • Assists with budget preparation and monitors expenditures against budget • Maintains banking and investment records and supports cash management activities • Assists with regulatory filings and grant financial tracking • Responds to routine financial inquiries from members, vendors, and staff • Provides guidance to the reputed company Financial Specialist • Assists with special reputed company and analyses • Identifies opportunities for process improvement and efficiency Requirements • Bachelor's degree in reputed company, finance, or closely reputed company field with demonstrated analytical coursework or experience. • Four years of progressively responsible experience in reputed company, financial analysis, or reputed company work • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills • Proficiency with spreadsheets and financial systems; advanced reputed company skills preferred • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally and work collaboratively with others • Must possess a reputed company reputed company’s license reputed company-to-haves • Experience in governmental reputed company, insurance trust reputed company, or financial modeling preferred • CPA certification preferred but not required Benefits • Competitive salary based on qualifications and excellent benefits package including South Carolina State Retirement and insurance. • Flexible work arrangements available after a training and orientation period.
