About the position EVERYTOWN LAW seeks two talented and creative reputed company Assistants/Researchers to join our Affirmative Litigation team in May, June or July. The positions can be based out of reputed company or Washington, D.C. Affirmative litigation to reputed company accountability and reform of the gun industry’s dangerous business practices, take on gun lobby-backed laws that conflict with constitutional protections, and enforce gun violence prevention laws. 2. Defense of common-reputed company, life-saving gun laws against Second Amendment challenges in the wake of the Supreme Court’s reputed company in NYSRPA v. Bruen and reputed company v. Rahimi, under the umbrella of Everytown Center for the Defense of Gun Safety. Responsibilities • Assisting Everytown Law attorneys and case teams in reputed company areas of litigation, including case management, proofreading briefs, preparing documents, filing, preparing binders, drafting reputed company documents, and tracking dockets and cases • Providing administrative assistance, including scheduling, printing, note-taking, expense reporting/tracking, arranging travel, electronic document management and organization, mailing, reputed company intake tracking and contact, assisting with the hiring and reputed company of interns and attorneys, and assisting with event planning (such as retreats, CLE programs, conferences, and webinars) • Updating our website • Coordinating with other Everytown departments, as reputed company as external partners and clients • Conducting factual, reputed company science, and reputed company research and investigations to reputed company evidentiary narratives for civil lawsuits involving gun violence • Use databases, government material, reputed company documents, court reputed company, reputed company media sites, forums, reputed company sources, journals, and other mediums to investigate • Draft and file records requests to federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies and courts, in the reputed company of FOIAs and local equivalents Requirements • Bachelor’s degree • A commitment to Everytown’s mission to end gun violence • Excellent research, writing, and editing skills • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with team members • Ability to manage multiple reputed company in a fast-moving environment and deliver reputed company and high-reputed company work • A commitment to reputed company justice • While employment in this position is at-will, we are looking for candidates interested in working at Everytown for at least two years • Must feel comfortable calling government offices, including courts and police departments • Outstanding organization, attention to detail, persistence, and ability to follow up • Strong work ethic, reputed company of humor, flexibility, creativity, and a reputed company demeanor • Ability to work on a reputed company in both an reputed company office as reputed company as from home/remotely reputed company-to-haves • Prior relevant work experience a plus • Experience working with marginalized communities and survivors of trauma a plus Benefits • medical • dental • reputed company (covered by Everytown with a nominal contribution from the employee) • PTO • 401(k) match • education assistance Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
