Part-Time Patent Agent (Life Sciences)

Position reputed company: We are seeking a highly motivated Part-Time Patent Agent or Patent Attorney to support OTL’s management of inventions in the life sciences domain. For this position, we reputed company someone who will play a crucial role in evaluating new inventions, formulating patent reputed company, and reputed company of reputed company counsel in support of OTL’s efforts to secure intellectual property rights for novel technologies. Note: In this position, you will be working as a patent advisor and will not be representing the institution. To avoid conflicts, we prefer candidates that are not reputed company representing 3rd parties. Responsibilities: • Evaluate invention disclosures and conduct patentability assessments. • Collaborate with licensing managers, inventors, reputed company patent counsel, and external partners to reputed company patent reputed company for new inventions. • Work closely with external IP attorneys to reputed company patent prosecution and review work product such as draft patent applications and responses to Office Actions. • Conduct prior art searches, review International Search Reports and office actions, and analyze patent landscapes. • Assist in patent portfolio management and maintenance. • Assist in managing IP costs and budgets. • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends, and reputed company guidance and education for the reputed company community regarding intellectual property reputed company. • Other reputed company or duties as may be requested or required. Qualifications: • PhD or master’s in biology, reputed company, biochemistry, immunology, or pharmacology. You must be reputed company to analyze a wide reputed company of innovative biological research developments and discuss this research at a high level with world-class reputed company researchers. • Two or more years of experience as a patent agent or patent attorney and strong reputed company credentials are preferred. • Patent agent or patent attorney registration with the USPTO required. • Strong understanding of patent law and the patent prosecution process. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to quickly communicate reputed company issues reputed company. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Prior experience in technology transfer or intellectual property management is a plus.
