As a Developer Advocate at Timescale &##128047;, you will play a critical role in connecting with the developer community, amplifying our core product, and driving awareness of TimescaleDB. By creating and sharing engaging technical content and building authentic relationships within the database and tech communities, you will have a direct impact on shaping how developers use and experience our platform. This role is remote, and English language fluency is a requirement. Creating high-quality content, including blog posts, videos, tutorials, and technical guides to demonstrate how to develop and work with Timescale, Postgres, and time-series data. Create benchmarking content that zooms out to focus on the big picture, comparing more than just raw performance. Building relationships within the database and developer communities by participating in forums, social media, and online discussions on Reddit, Stackoverflow, Hacker News, Etc. Staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and sharing insights to establish Timescale as a thought leader in the database space. Collect and summarize customer feedback and relay it effectively to the product team. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align messaging, share developer insights, and shape product improvements. You have a background in databases, ideally SQL. You possess strong technical credibility and authenticity when interacting with developer audiences. You’re a self-starter with an innate curiosity for exploring the latest in tech and developer tools. You have demonstrated experience in creating compelling technical content across various formats. You are enthusiastic about amplifying the Timescale brand, building relationships, and engaging with technical communities. You thrive in a remote-first, fast-paced, and dynamic environment. You’re uncomfortable with a fast-paced, dynamic environment where priorities can shift quickly. You do not have a technical background and passion for developer tools.
