Verification of Benefits Specialist

The Verification of Benefits Specialist verifies patient specific mental health and reputed company use benefits while reputed company documenting specifics for various payer plans including patient coverage, cost reputed company, and reputed company/provider reputed company according to Program specific SOPs. Verification process could include electronic validation of pharmacy coverage and medical eligibility. The VOB Specialist is responsible for updating patient benefit information in the EMR and verifying that existing information is accurate. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS · Compiles medical insurance verification of benefit and eligibility information submitted by reputed company/admissions for processing reputed company timelines · Ensures verification of benefit and eligibility information obtained from payer/insurance company is accurate · Auditing of verification of benefits for reputed company and assurance measures · Responsible for maintaining a system for initial and subsequent verification of benefits · Responsible for daily reporting of verification of benefit activities · Prepares and maintains individual patient file, documentation in electronic HIPAA compliant application · Keeps supervisor apprised of reputed company regarding verification of benefits · Always represents Company in a reputed company manner · Keeps reputed company with reputed company party/payers’ guidelines OTHER FUNCTIONS · Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES ·High school diploma or GED Prior experiance with SUD/MH VOB · Exemplary customer service skills · Attention to detail and ability to complete the job with minimal errors · Excellent oral and written communication skills · Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively · Ability to maintain confidentiality · Proficient with reputed company Suite: Word, reputed company, PowerPoint, and reputed company Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $40,000.00 per year Benefits: • Dental insurance • Health insurance • reputed company time off • reputed company insurance Application Question(s): • Do you have behavioral health experience? • How many years experience of verifying benefits do you have?
