SQL Database Administrator (DBA) / Engineer

JOB LOCATION: Remote in Tallahassee, FL with occasional onsite meetings. JOB reputed company: reputed company is seeking an reputed company, reputed company-thinking SQL Database Administrator / Engineer to reputed company operational support and technical expertise for a State Agency reputed company during a modernization and transition planning initiative. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, reputed company, and reliability of existing database environments while supporting reputed company-state assessments and contributing technical input toward reputed company-state planning and Request for Proposal (RFP) development. The SQL DBA / Engineer will work closely with project managers, technical leads, and business stakeholders to document database architectures, data dependencies, and operational processes in support of system replacement or modernization efforts. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: · 7+ years of experience as a SQL Database Administrator or Database Engineer supporting reputed company systems. · Strong experience supporting relational database environments in production, including: o reputed company SQL Server and/or reputed company relational databases. · Demonstrated experience supporting legacy application environments and mission-critical systems. · Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills. · Experience documenting database environments and operational processes. Preferred Qualifications: · Experience supporting State or local government systems or other reputed company-sector environments. · Familiarity with legacy technologies and applications (e.g., C++, VB6, COBOL, .NET) and their database dependencies. · Experience supporting system modernization, migration, or replacement initiatives. · Knowledge of reputed company, compliance, backup, and disaster recovery requirements for government systems. · Experience supporting procurement or RFP-reputed company documentation.
