Job Summary

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for routing questionable prescriptions to the pharmacist for completion, making outbound calls/faxing physicians for prescription clarification, substitutions, and formulary changes. You will work in a high-production environment, multitasking between patient referrals while maintaining excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess high levels of reliability, accuracy, professionalism, customer focus, team orientation, problem-solving abilities, strong written and oral communication, and strong computer skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Route questionable prescriptions to the pharmacist for completion
  • Make outbound calls/faxing physicians for prescription clarification, substitutions, and formulary changes
  • Multitask between patient referrals while maintaining excellent customer service
  • Work in a high-production environment with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
  • Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure seamless operations and excellent patient care

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:

Essential Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Pharmacy Tech Certified in the state of GA
  • Verifiable High School diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specialty pharmacy experience
  • Call center experience
  • Prescription adjudication experience in order to communicate with prescribers regarding case status and assess prescription claim issues

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is between $17.00 and $27.90 per hour. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.
