Position Summary
The Health Equity Program Manager will support the New Jersey Fully Integrated Dual Eligible (FIDE) health plan. As part of the Quality Management team, this key role will oversee the strategy, development, implementation and evaluation of population health initiatives aimed to reduce disparities and inequities.
• Oversee the implementation, and evaluation of health equity efforts in the context of contract requirements, NCQA Health Equity Accreditation standards, and national and enterprise strategies
• Ensure the collection and meaningful use of race, ethnicity, language, disability, and geographic data to identify and analyze disparities for the development and implementation of plans to improve health outcomes
• Track the completion and evaluate the impact of staff and provider health equity training
• Inform decision-making regarding best payer practices related to disparity reductions, including providing health plan teams with relevant and applicable resources and research and ensuring that the perspectives of Enrollees with disparate outcomes are incorporated into the tailoring of intervention strategies.
• Ensure that efforts addressed at improving health equity, reducing disparities, and improving cultural competence are designed collaboratively, align with Aetna Medicaid health equity strategies, and that lessons learned are incorporated into future decision-making.
• Influences all stakeholders to support key projects/programs to ensure positive outcomes that deliver on results.
• Collaborate with other state contracted entities, managed care organizations and community organizations to design efforts to reduce disparities and improve cultural competency
• Drives change to improve performance results, organization effectiveness and/or systems/quality/services (e.g., policies, processes, or systems).
• Identifies gaps in processes or organization and challenges self and others to develop and implement solutions.
• Develop and manage effective internal working relationships and trust across stakeholders and senior leaders
• Ensures accurate prioritization of key projects/programs within purview.
Required Qualifications
• 5-7 years of relevant work experience including:
• 3 years social/human services, social work, public policy, public health, health care, education, community development, or justice.
• 3 years’ program management experience.
• 3 years' experience with population health, health equity, and solid knowledge of HEDIS.
• Community and stakeholder engagement experience
• Experience in actively applying or overseeing the application of science-based quality improvement methods to reduce health disparities
• Knowledge of performance improvement strategies
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
• Master's degree in public health, health administration, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in health equity program development and implementation
• NCQA Health Equity Accreditation standards & requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$60,300.00 - $132,600.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
